Development priorities

Consider the routine.
And the way it is used.

Rinse-off or leave-on

Describe the application and amount used. For washes, define lather and rinse feel; for lotions and massage products, define spread, absorption and finish.

Fragrance & formula

Choose a single scent, several variants or a fragrance-free concept. Identify essential texture, colour and ingredient preferences, and where you can be flexible.

Dispensing & use

Specify the pack, fill size and dispenser. Sun protection, intimate-care and body-shaping products also need clearly defined claims and testing requirements.

What to define

Bring a useful brief.

Start with how the product will be used.

  • Product use, intended customer and rinse-off or leave-on application
  • Texture, lather or finish, with a reference if available
  • Fragrance direction, variants and ingredient preferences
  • Fill size, dispenser, closure and packaging specifications
  • Target market, claims, quantities and desired timing
Prepare your enquiry

Before we start

A few practical
questions.

Can a body wash and lotion share a fragrance direction?

They can be developed around a common direction. Specify what should feel consistent across the range, while treating the texture, application and evaluation of each product separately.

What if we already have bottles or pumps?

Include the component specifications, fill size and supplier details with your enquiry. The formula, dispensing and filling requirements need to be reviewed with those components before the pack is finalised.
